Lady Jan's Veggie Garden

My vegetables that I bought at Home Depot
waiting ever so patiently to be planted in my garden. Posted by Picasa

My newly wedded potato patch.

The plants are flopped over tired from being handled and weeded.

Don't worry they be fine in a day or two, as they just need to catch their breath.

I grow red skin and blue Peruvians potatoes.Posted by Picasa
This spot is weeded and soil amendments added, and a ground cover has recently been added. All in readiness for my tomato plants to be planted tomorrow--if all goes well.

But currently I have my car in the shop, as my heater core is in need of replacement. So I'm driving a rental until my car is repaired maybe tomorrow. So I'm hoping between driving everyone to work or school in the rental car, and waiting to hear from the repair shop about my car, I may just get a chance to plant a few plants in my garden.

I am not a big veggie gardener, but truly enjoy the 'fruits' of other's labours... :)))

we might try a volunteer cherry tom plant this year, have to see what goes...

and yeah, I know that feeling of looking at another's temps and thinking, oh yes, that would most certainly do. there is no way I could live in the valley anymore, as those 100 degree days just are too much! but I sure miss a good week of temps in the 80's...

and warm evenings! too many times you wear shorts during the day, but switch to trousers after 6 pm...

but there you go! good luck with your planting... :)))

Thanks for your post on my blog. I accepted your invitation, but when I clicked on your profile, I found 6 blogsites. I didn't know which one you were referring to, so I picked the top one. There is nothing as satisfing as having your own garden and watching it grow. Nice job of weeding it by the way! (Always helps to have HELPERS TOO!)~ jb///

Love your gardening efforts - wish I felt inspired to do the same. Looking forward to seeing everything grow.

Hi Ipodmomma,

Good luck with the cherry tomato, and they can be fun too.

I don't like the 100 temps anymore not with my hot flashes--sheesh, I'm hot enough okay! But I do enjoy temps between 70 and 80.

Thank you.

Hi LZ,

Your welcome! Oh, you silly--I don't have 6 blogs I just have four! And that's enough thank you! I'm sorry I should have let you know which one I had posted the pictures on, but your here so you choose the right one.

I agree I love gradening, and watching the plants grow is half the fun! The other half is eating the fruits of your labor.

Oh think you, the weeds were really awful this year with all the rain we had. I couldn't have done it with out my helpers though.

Hi Megz_mum,

Thank you, and yes it is a lot of work, and not everyone feels up to the challenge. And I have to have help to do it anymore.

Thank you, and I keep posting the pictures then!

Later Your Lady Jan~
