It's GroundHog Day!

El Nino has caused high winds, heavy snow, ice and freezing temperatures in the west.
Here in the East with much mild winter weather we have been blessed.

Global warming has caused a great debate.
This mild winter makes it seem just great.

On this Groundhog Day we think of one thing.
Will we have winter or will we have spring?

On Gobbler's Knob I see no shadow today.
I predict that early spring is on the way.

Darn. I missed it.

Seriously, usually the kids keep up with it and remind me. They didn't this year.

Hi Ann,

I'm sorry you missed it Ann, but it wasn't that much just the old Ground hog finally didn't see his shadow.

Hi Jeanette, Gwen, and Little Jen,

Lee is right that movie was about Ground hog day, and it's a perticular to us Yanks and only celebrated here.

It's a ledgen that say that when the ground hog sees his shadow winter will be another six more weeks. If he doesn't see his shadow spring is just around the corner.

Unfortunitely for the poor ground hog that means the indignity of being dragged out his hyberation for this event, then being stuffed back in his hole again when they are done with him.

One time a guy got bit!

Later your Lady Jan~
