Lady Jan says March came in like a Lion but will it leave like a Lamb?

You know the old saying "March comes in like a Lion and leaves like a Lamb?"

Well it got a good start!

Last week it rained, and hailed my daughter got soaked and beaned right smack in the middle of the forehead with a large piece of hail. This week she has a sinus infection. We took her to the doctor and she has to take antibiotcs.

Today the weather was crazy! Rain, hail, sleet. It snowed in Hanford which is just 90 mile from here. And it snowed as low as Madera's 22 Mile house, if your wondering where that is I hooked a link to their sight just above. And it could snow here tomorrow, and we only get snow just every 10 to 15 years. Though it is very rare that it stays, usually it melts away. I think it snowed and stayed in my life time, when I was roughly a year old and then when I was about I think 38.

We're thinking warm thoughts here in Madera!

The weather has been a bit crazy everywhere - maybe part of global warming/climate change?

Hi Mez Mum,

Well, there are reports that the polar ice caps are melting--isn't that a lovely thought?

But it does get really wet here in March that's when we get the majority of our rain, but this week it's just been rediculess!

It has although we missed the hail over here (up here?) My friend L. in San Francisco said her kids were outside making snowballs out of hail.

Hi Ann,

It hailed here today but the hail was tiny--smaller than a pea, and not enough for a hail ball. Though I did see on the news that they were able to in Clovis, which is just on the other side of Fresno from here.

It was very cold today but not cold enough to snow. If it does snow I'll take a picture and post it.
