Day trip'n with Lady Jan #5

We went shopping in the cute little shops in Mariposa, and then I found these pretty wisteria vine growing nearby. And this is my daughter Sarah's response to my husband telling her to smile.

On the way home back on Ben Hur road there we saw deer.

I believe the species is mule deer.

Two together I think they were a herd of does.

We thought at first that this one was a baby, but on close up I discovered it was just a doe laying down on the job of grazing. notice the mouth full of flowers?Posted by Picasa

One more view of the stone fence that the Chinese built.

~

And the picture below is of an old mine some one in the area dug, but no gold was found here.

there use to be wood above the mine entrance but that is long gone now.

now this little hole in the ground is nothing more than a curiosity and a danger to the unwary.Posted by Picasa

Then we went home.

Hi Janice ~~ Another nice trip out for you with your husband and daughter. You reminded me to try to
post a pic of my wisteria.
Tanks for the comments, glad you liked the lawyer joke and the words that don't rhyme. Take care, Love,
Merle.
