Neil Armstrong, passed away following complications resulting from cardiovascular procedures, age 82.
It was sad to hear about Neil Armstrong. I still remember being woke up by my parents, to watch Neil Make his "Giant leap for mankind" on the moon in 1969. I was eight at the time, which I suppose dates me.

Yes...that day was one of those historic moments where I believe that all of us who were around at the time will always remember...remember where they were and what they were doing. I was working in the city and we closed the office and we shot across the street and stood watching the landing via TVs set up in the windows of Coles-Penney's store in Queen Street, Brisbane...the capital of Queensland.
RIP...Neil Armstrong; you inspired us all to reach for the stars in the hope of touching the moon.
Try this site below, Janice, when you have a spare moment. It was a tribute to Neil Armstrong, written by John Stewart of "The Kingston Trio".
Aussie country singer, the late Reg Lindsay was best known for his song "Armstrong", a tribute to the historic 1969 moon landing by American astronauts, particularly Neil Armstrong, which is now included in a time capsule at the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas. The song reached No. 8 on the Australian Singles Chart in 1971

I thought that you'd like it. I'd not heard the song in years, but it came to mind yesterday when I learned of Neil Armstrong's passing...so I went in search of it.
Hi Lee,
Thank you for going through the trouble. :) It's a great song.
Janice~
