Update on Suzu

Suzu started licking her incision.

And my daughter tried to make her a cone to go over her head. But she kept taking them off.

She needed something to keep her from bothering her incision.

Queen Elizabeth the first

I looked up cones for cats on the Internet and found that they are called Elizabeth collars or e-collars for short because of the way they look.

What do you think? Does it look like Queen Elizebeth's colar?

We went down to our local pet store today, and found one.

$12.95 and it fits. She hates it of course, but she can't get it off and it keeps her from damage herself further. Plus we get the bonus of laughing at her antics as she slinks around the house giving us dirty looks.

"Oh you think this is so funny human? You just wait!"

Hi Janice ~~ I am glad you got the collar for the cat as they can do themselves damage and it won't be for very long. Thanks for your comments and I am glad you enjoyed the "Don't mess with kids" jokes. They do say the darndest things. Take care, Glad
the writing is going well. Love, Merle.

Hi Merle,

We took the collar off today and she is so happy the silly kitty is bouncing off the walls.

I love the kids jokes, and they do say the darnest things just like in that old Linkletter show.

I just finished with my goal of writing 50,000 word novel in a single month. For me this is the third time that I did it.
Yay!

Hi Jen,

Suzu is doing much better and her place down there looks healed.

You do have the nicest flowers.

o poor swine!

they always look so undignified in those things...

(and I was just about to ask you what on earth an "E collar" was haha!)

... as if they KNOW they're walking about looking like an animated lampstand

i bet she's glad to get that contraption off her head!

ps aren't those a relatively modern thing? i don't remember ever seeing pets in the 1970s wearing those devices..?

Hi Gledwood,

I really don't know how long they've been around? I do remember someone's pet having on in the seventies, but earlier than that? I have no idea.

Suzu was so glad that she had that thing off that she tore through the house and climbed right up my draps.

Darn cat!
