June Bug Attack

Took our Pomeranian out and then checked on my plants. Somethings been eating them and I've been checking nearly every evening to see if I can spot the culprit.

I did seem to waken something that rose in my flashlight beam and came right at me. It hit my throat several times until I knocked it away.

It didn't sting me at least, but it gave me a bit of a scare.

My hubby thinks it was a June bug.

Hours later I can still feel the hits on my throat.

Food Shopping

Had a lovely lunch with hubby at Panda Express yesterday. Then we went grocery shopping.

We bought... well... nearly everything on the list my daughter made up, before she left to take my mom to get her treatments. (She's helpful like that).

Hubby and I came home and put everything away, but the temps are higher than we expected. 86 degrees but felt like a hundred. We were both sweating and panting like dogs.

I had to sit on the sofa under the fan to cool down. I didn't want to move.

Hubby walked into the living room, handed me a bottle of water and said tomorrow we're getting the cooler pads. Agreed.

Our little dog got her spade surgery

This is Snaps, the little dog my daughter brought home. She's a stray or was.
We've had her for around four months now and she went into heat.
We live out in the country and I was worried some big dog would get to her and she couldn't have the babies (something that happened to my dog when I was still living at home).
We just got her spaded at the Hope Animal Foundation in Fresno.
They charged less than half of what one of vets in our home town would charge.

We dropped Snaps off, then my daughter and I spend the day in Fresno. We got breakfast, went to Barns and Nobles, picked up her BF and had lunch. Then daughter dropped me off at B&N, so she could go down the road to washed the car, and I used the free wifi to download a few things.

At four o'clock, it was time to pick up the dog.

In the photo above, Snaps is wearing the cone of shame, because she started to lick her incision which is a no-no.
